Surface Grinding Wheel Balancer

Like many Wolf-Haus products, the initial idea for the wheel balancing stand was derived from our own need for such a tool after opting to go the DIY route instead of purchasing one. It was never really intended to be part of the product line, rather just a shop-made solution. Upon realizing the limited commercial options & corresponding price point(s) currently on the market, we decided to offer it on a made-to-order basis as a more affordable, AMERICAN made alternative. Major base/stand components are machined ‘in-Haus’ from 1018 cold-rolled bar stock.  The balancing rails are precision ground 1/2″ O1 drill rod, pre-hardened to Rockwell C60, with dia. tolerance of -0.0003″ to 0″ (Mcmaster #4347T69). Machined parts have a hot blued finish, commonly seen on firearms, which is done prior to engraving. This balancing stand was specifically designed to be compatible with (but not limited to) 1-1/4″ bore grinding wheels with a max OD of 8″ (basically in accordance with the standard specs of 6″ x 18″ surface grinders).
